Meet the Team of Stanthorpe Plumbing & Gas
Brent Hansen
Brent holds a Certificate 4 in Plumbing, and is a Licensed Plumber, Drainer, Gasfitter with the QBCC and RSHA. He is also a member of the Master Plumbers Association of QLD, and the QLD Gas Association. Brent has undertaken further studies through the University of Arizona and the American Centre for Disease Control to gain further education and certification in Legionella Management. Brent holds a Diploma in Business Management, Cert IV Training & Assessment, Cert III Security Operations & Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer qualifications, as well as various Aviation licenses / qualifications. Brent is currently working towards completing his Restricted Electrical license.
In his spare time, he enjoys drumming, playing guitar, recording music, horses, dogs, building and flying homebuilt experimental aircraft, and spending time at home with his wife & kids.
Rob Mackintosh
Rob holds a Certificate 4 in Plumbing, and is a Licensed Plumber, Drainer, Gasfitter with the QBCC and RSHA. He is also a member of the Master Plumbers Association of QLD.
Rob is in high demand in the plumbing industry, due to his extensive experience. Rob splits his time between SPG and teaching both apprentice and qualified plumbers at TAFE. Rob holds TMV, Backflow, Solar & Heat Pump, Onsite Sewage Facility Maintenance endorsements on his license, as well as a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
In his spare time, Rob enjoys hitting the road on one of his many motorcycles.
Jackson Hansen
Jackson is undertaking Certificate III Plumbing, and intends to go all the way through to completion of Certificate 4 Plumbing, and become more heavily involved in the management side in the coming years ahead. Jackson completed his schooling at St Joseph’s in Stanthorpe, until attending Stanthorpe State High School for his final year. It is a privilege having Jackson on board, as he is a quick learner and a hard worker, rare qualities to find in young apprentices these days. Jackson owns several collectible vintage vehicles & motorcycles, and enjoys working on those, as well as home improvements / renovations. Jackson owns a 10 acre block, complete with a 4 bedroom brick house.
James Blundell
Everyone knows James as being a formidable, unrivalled force…. and legend… in the Australian Country Music scene. What most people may not know is that James is one of the rare few purebred, unwavering, decent fellas around. The Hansen / Blundell relationship spans many years, and its very fitting that James is the “face” of Stanthorpe Plumbing & Gas. He provides advise, wisdom, support and comic relief – which is all invaluable beyond the telling. James also provided the voice behind our radio advertisement campaign, even down to the answering machine message! Bit of trivia….one of the SPG work vehicles was bought new by Peter Warren Blundell in 1995 from Central Motors in Stanthorpe. He retained that vehicle until his passing, at which time Brent acquired it. This vehicle is featured predominantly in James’ music video “The Valley”. Check it out on youtube!
